Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selcuk Arslan

He completed his BSc and MSc studies at the Department of Agricultural Mechanization, Ankara University - Turkey. PhD degree was obtained at Iowa State University, Department of Agricultural and Biosytems Engineering in the year 2000. The topic of PhD was the evaluation of yield sensors for site-specific management. The projects that were completed in the last 17 years include various topics in agricultural engineering such as direct seeding, particulate matter and noise exposure in field machinery operations, design of some attachments and agricultural machines, and energy efficiency in irrigation pumps. Current research projects include development of an automatic cotton topper and a research weed flamer for orchards and vegetable crops. Dr. Arslan is currently employed at Uludağ University, Biosystems Engineering Department, Bursa, Turkey.
